How-To Guide: Set Up ChatGPT Custom Instructions for Your Store

Step 1: Log Into ChatGPT and Find Custom Instructions

Go to chat.openai.com and log in. Click your profile icon in the bottom left corner. Select Customize ChatGPT from the menu. A dialog box opens with two text fields.

What you should see: A modal with two large text boxes: "What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?" and "How would you like ChatGPT to respond?"

Troubleshooting: If you don't see "Customize ChatGPT," you may be on an older interface — try clicking the three dots (...) next to your name instead.
